Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Concord C2001 Camera w/ ZoomCustomer Review: Good little camera Summary: 4 Stars
I only see one review for this camera written in 2002. I bought this camera in July 2003 just before I went on a trip overseas. It was pretty cheap and I already had a camera but the Concord had a zoom and more features than my old camera. I figured the Concord might not take very good photos so I was quite skeptical but took a chance. I am not the easier person to please about quality of photos, but I was pleasantly surprised that it took very good photos when I was overseas and I took about 250 photos. One thing to note though, its best to use ISO 400 with this camera. I used some ISO 200 films and they were OK, but the 400 films were noticeably better. It has a lot of features you see in higher priced cameras. It has two zoom levels, a macro lens which takes good photos and self timer and flash can be off or on. You can set the date to print on your pictures or leave it off. You can set it to Auto all the time, or can make a few manual changers. Indoors takes good photos and outdoors is even better. Good colors. I have no regrets about buying it and in fact its one of the best cameras I've ever had. I was browsing on Amazon tonight and saw only one review on the Concord C2001 and the reviewer did not seem to be very satisfied with the camera, so since I had a good experience with Concord C2001 I wanted to say something good about it.
Also, the other reviewer mentioned about frame lines inside the viewfinder. I just paid attention to the small circle inside the viewfinder for the middle of my photo composition and my photos turned out fine. The only thing that is slightly negative is that is it takes a lithium battery for some features of the camera and they are around $15.00 but compared to lithium batteries for digital cameras, thats cheap. Also, the lithium battery will last a long time. I took 250 pictures overseas and many before I went, and it still worked fine long after. The camera also take two AA batteries for other things in the camera and the lithium battery was supplied.
Its 2005 now and most people have digital cameras now, and so do I, but I intend to keep my Concord for a long time yet for those other occasions when I might need a 35 mm. I can only speak for myself, but I had good luck with the Concord.
